Put an end to everything! The fan-favorite criminal drama, Money Heist or La Casa De Papel, is returning for its season 5.

However, in the world of Money Heist, the time has paused and appeared to be frozen. The points made in season 4 of the Spanish drama are now hitting their targets. Vol. 1 of season 5 premiered today. You should best be ready for the adventure because they aren’t making things easy for us. It’s all systems go, kid.

Recap to season 4

The story-line came to a close in the fourth season’s last episode. The Professor’s ruse allowed Lisbon to rejoin the rest of the group at the Bank of Spain. The gang rejoices over the successful mission to rescue Lisbon, aka Raquel (Itziar Ituo), from the authorities so that she may gain access to the Bank of Spain.

However, they do not know that the Professor is now trapped in a hopeless condition. The Professor’s hideaway is discovered by the intelligent inspector Alicia Sierra, who captured him red-handed.

A spectacular start

The season picks off precisely where Part 4 left off: Sierra (Najwa Nimri) has tracked down theft maestro El Profesor (Alvaro Morte) and may be able to stop him from taking gold out from the Bank of Spain. At the same time, the rest of the red-coverall-wearing criminals have stayed inside for 100 hours.

Lisboa (Itziar Ituo) is released from police detention and makes it into the bank. Things are becoming very tense. And, unfortunately, Nairobi (Alba Flores) is still dead.

First and most confusing

The first episode is a continuous back-and-forth between the present and the past. It shows various points of view, including inside El Profesor’s hideout, inside the bank, and from the police’s transitory tent right outside the Bank of Spain. Additionally, even around a 1990s red Volvo bandwagon that allows Marsella (Luka Peros) to flee.

More flashbacks from four years ago show the gang’s origin of sorts. We get a glimpse into Tokyo’s (Ursula Corberó) background and watch her at the start of her thieving career. We then get to finally meet Berlin’s kid, who seems to be a prodigy like his father. Berlin (Pedro Alonso) is looking to recruit his son Rafael (Patrick Criado), an electronic engineer with a post-graduate certificate in cybersecurity from MIT. While he has no involvement in the arena of deceit and falsehoods, he does appear to have a more significant role in the season episodes.

It gets better with episode 2

Money Heist’s nonlinear storyline has been a constant since the premiere, and it’s crucial to the show’s fascinating nature. However, when Part 5’s episode 2 switches to the chronological narrative, we’re locked in the narrative for the entire 52 minutes. It is the series’ only stumbling block.

While the first two episodes don’t reveal much about Alicia’s motivation for investigating the master planner, there have been some significant discoveries in the following episodes, which I won’t ruin for you.

Army Commander Sagasta (José Manuel Seda) is the season’s primary enemy. You’ll first greet him when he’s pooping. Spaniards have a penchant for absurdist comedy. Nevertheless, he’s terrible news for the bunch.

It’s the Mrs. Professor for the win

Mr.Professor money heist

Lisbon, or “Mrs. Professor,” has become the most powerful character in the series. The idea that women receive a larger share of the series’ pie is well recognized. In fact, after viewing the first several episodes, I only recall the show’s female characters: Lisbon, Stockholm, Tokyo, Manila, and, of course, Alicia Sierra. This is a fantastic setting for a compelling narrative in the final season.

An action-packed feature

Won’t you want to see a heist that really is not only hard to carry off but also full of melodrama, dozens of new potential romantic prospects, cutting wit, and a few ruthless antiheroes?

Season 5 of La Casa De Papel (Money Heist) is jam-packed with adrenaline-pumping and nail-biting moments. With predictable shifting interpersonal dynamics, fresh protagonists whose tales have yet to be revealed. More formidable adversaries and more ladies are taking command. The rest of the season will engross you from the outset, and you will find yourself rooting for the beloved Dali squad to succeed.

You’ll find several of their deeds very suspicious while yet supporting them; that’s one of the show’s central themes. Money Heist is worth the wait; despite its problems and some flaws, it will keep you engrossed until the second half releases.

So far, the show has been at a warlike intensity. The problem is, I’m a sucker for clever heist tales. In some ways, it appears like the show’s last season shifted genres, becoming more physically strong and less intelligent.

Money Heist Season 5: See it or Skip it?

Money Heist has been one of the most thrilling television shows in recent years. It’s last season really does not so much bring the energy down. It actually unloads a hefty grenade and sets the place on fire.

The gorgeous red gang rushes right into the fight and doesn’t let up. Season 5 of Money Heist is full of action-packed moments that will keep fans on the edge of their chairs. It doesn’t matter to a fan if the series maintains its high quality. All we want to see is the Professor makes it out alive, and I’ll leave it at that. Part 1 of Season 5 will keep us entertained until December, and I thank Netflix for that.
