Will the Gossip Girl reboot survive the status of the OG?

The show garnered attention for its sketchy plot and you should expect the same from the new version – Gossip Girl Reboot.

This series is narrated by the unknown omniscient blogger “Gossip Girl”, Further described by Kristen Bell. The opening theme of this drama is based on “steps of the met” by transcenders. The origin of this drama is the United States & the original language of the drama is English. The location of the drama is mainly of New York City (Manhattan & Brooklyn) & Lost Island east end.

Manhattan’s upper east side

The series revolves around the lives of privileged upper-class adolescents in the institutions living in Manhattan’s upper east side.

The series opens with the unexplained reappearance of wealthy Upper East Side girl Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively). She reunites with her former best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and her mother, Lily (Kelly Rutherford). On the same day, she encounters Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), an ambitious writer from Brooklyn who becomes Serena’s love interest throughout the series. Following the mysterious disappearance of Serena Van Der Woodsen suddenly returns to the upper east side from boarding school to visit her suicidal brother, Eric. Blair Waldorf discovered that Serena had sex with her boyfriend with Nate Archibald. The night of her disappearance.

The twist in the drama was when Serena met her ex-best friend in the same private institution in Manhattan.

The popularity and success of Gossip girl among the young adult demographic led to many adaptations outside of the United States. Some of them are valley girl, gossip girl: Thailand, gossip girl: Acapulco. The show received numerous awards under 18 teen choice awards.

The wait is over: Gossip girl reboot is coming!

A new version of the hit 2000s will launch on HBO max. It is showing a new generation of rich & famous prep school teens. In celebrities’ age, influencers are the perfect time to revive the famed gossip about New York city’s young elite.

Gossip girl is really a big blockbuster coming in the form of a Gossip Girl reboot. The wait was over for the teenagers. The new Gossip girl reboot is coming in 2021, and it honestly makes the fans of the OG show excited and fearful of how it will play out. It will premiere on July 8, 2021. The premier date was previously noted in April.

Is it the same as the original?

There will be only ten episodes, according to the deadline. HBO has ordered 10-hours long spells of the new version of the show. It’ll tackle contemporary issues, including social media & online privacy, that have changed some of the dynamics in today’s high schools.

Original cast member Kristen Bell will return to narrate the forthcoming series once more.

Since news broke on July 17, 2019, some fans have been crossing their fingers that an updated version of gossip girl is officially happening after a long pause. The former of CW- shows how- based on the book series by Cecily Von Ziegesar- is getting relaunched by Warner’s media streaming service, HBO Max.

What does the gossip girl reboot look like?

The very first trailer dropped at the end of May 2021. In early June, a more extended look at the series hit the internet. Fans, once again, we’re excited to listen to Kristen bell in the voice of a teen.

The series is based on suspense, mystery & romance. This needs more to improve in wording, scenes etc. Moreover, many more series can be adapted like this series as it is the most loved series for teenagers. Every teenager wishes that this show would never end as we love to watch this series. The string should be of more time duration, like 1 hour or 2 hours.

Why watch it?

Unlike the previous version of the show, the reboot taps into a darker, more sinister vibe. The current ensemble is much more diverse than the original version, with massive representation (that will live up to the expectations, Hopefully). Gossip girls are more likely to attract us. Keeping aside the suspense, romance & mystery, it should have something good to be learned by the teenagers who all are watching this series.

The primary reason for watching this series is the romance, but it should be something else like good unity, friendship, love & care towards friends & family. For the fans of the original show, it’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane. However, as fans of the OG, it is expected they might not get on board with the reboot fully. Many of us consider this series to enjoy life like this, but it’s not the reality. It’s only for entertainment. Many teenagers don’t understand as they thought of the same lives as reel life.
